A format that fits

Keep the mushroom.
Skip the measuring.

If you prefer taking your Lion’s Mane with water, capsules make the routine straightforward.

01 / A measured amount

Know what you’re taking.

Each capsule contains 300 mg of extract. The labelled two-capsule daily amount provides 600 mg, without weighing a scoop.

02 / No mixing required

Your breakfast stays yours.

No powder to stir into coffee, blend into a smoothie or add to food. Take your capsules with water and get on with your morning.

03 / A clear supply length

Plan your next bottle.

Choose 30 or 60 daily servings. The larger bottle means fewer reorders and a lower price per serving at the listed prices.

Meet the people behind your bottle

It starts at our farm in Melbourne, Australia.

Xotic Mushrooms is led by founder and head cultivator Jaz Konig. We grow our Lion’s Mane in Thomastown, Melbourne, Australia, on Tasmanian oak hardwood sawdust and Australian soya husk (Master’s Mix).

Our controlled growing rooms give us a hands-on view of each stage, from cultivation through to hand harvesting. The fruiting bodies are then freeze-dried and processed into extract using our published production process.

Choosing a mushroom product should include understanding where it comes from. We share our farm, process and testing record so you can look beyond the front of the bottle.

Australia is home to some of the world’s cleanest air.

At Kennaook / Cape Grim in north-west Tasmania, winds arriving across the Southern Ocean bring exceptionally clean air. The Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO use this remote location to monitor the atmosphere.

That finding is specific to Cape Grim. Our farm is in Melbourne, where we grow in controlled rooms and share laboratory reports on our mushroom ingredients.

Fruiting bodies selected and harvested by hand at the farm.

03

Freeze-dry

Our published process freeze-dries the harvested mushrooms before milling and extraction.

04

Hot water and ethanol are used in our dual extraction process to produce a 10:1 extract.

06

Encapsulate

The finished extract is measured into 300 mg portions inside cellulose capsules.

What does 10:1 tell you?

It describes the ratio of starting mushroom material to finished extract. It does not mean ten times the health benefit. For a useful product comparison, look at the mushroom part used, the actual extract amount, the ingredient list and the scope of testing together.

Behind the grow block

It starts with the growing mix.

Tasmanian oak hardwood sawdust and Australian soya husk. Our Master’s Mix provides the growing substrate for our Lion’s Mane.

The substrate is prepared before the mushrooms develop their fruiting bodies. We harvest those fruiting bodies for processing into extract.

What beta-glucans tell you.

Beta-glucans are one group within total polysaccharides. A beta-glucan result is a separate measurement from an extraction ratio such as 10:1. We direct you to the report and method when comparing results.

What microbial screening covers.

The published RMIT result covers E. coli and coliforms in the tested powder sample. It does not establish that every possible microorganism was tested or that every capsule batch has the same result.

What is still underway.

Before you choose

Your questions, answered.

What is in each capsule?

Each capsule contains 300 mg of 10:1 Lion’s Mane mushroom fruiting body extract, enclosed in a cellulose capsule shell. The labelled ingredients are organic Lion’s Mane mushroom (pure fruiting bodies) and cellulose (capsule).

How many capsules should I take?

Follow the bottle label: take two capsules daily in the morning. Two capsules provide 600 mg of extract. Take with water. Check with a qualified healthcare professional if you need advice about whether this product suits you.

How long does each bottle last?

The 60-capsule bottle provides 30 days at two capsules daily. The 120-capsule bottle provides 60 days at the same daily amount. Both sizes have the same 300 mg strength per capsule.

Which bottle offers better value?

At the current bottle prices, 60 capsules cost $59, or approximately $1.97 per day. 120 capsules cost $99, or approximately $1.65 per day. The larger bottle saves $19 compared with buying two 60-capsule bottles. These calculations exclude shipping and use the labelled direction of two capsules daily.

Where is the Lion’s Mane grown?

We grow our Lion’s Mane at the Xotic Mushrooms farm in Thomastown, Victoria, on Tasmanian oak hardwood sawdust and Australian soya husk (Master’s Mix). Our published farm process covers cultivation, hand harvesting, freeze-drying and extraction. Meet the farm and see the process.

Do the capsules contain fruiting bodies or mycelium?

The mushroom ingredient is made from Lion’s Mane fruiting bodies. The ingredient list does not include mycelium, grain or starch fillers. The cellulose shell is a separate ingredient and is included in the full ingredient list.

Are they vegan, gluten free and dairy free?

The capsule label identifies the product as vegan, gluten free, dairy free and non-GMO. The capsule shell is cellulose. If you have an allergy or a particular dietary requirement, read the full label and contact us before ordering.

What does 10:1 extract mean?

10:1 describes the ratio of starting mushroom material to the resulting extract. It is not a promise of ten times the benefit and does not, by itself, establish the level of beta-glucans or other compounds. The amount of actual extract in each capsule is 300 mg.

What is dual extraction?

Our published process uses hot water and ethanol as extraction solvents to obtain different fractions from the mushroom material. The capsule contains the finished extract powder. An extraction method alone does not prove a health outcome or provide a complete compound profile.

What does the 32.2% beta-glucan result cover?

Symbio Laboratories reported 32.2 g/100 g (32.2%) for a submitted Lion’s Mane fruiting body freeze-dried extract powder blend with 1% black pepper extract (BioPerine). Certificate S2162602 [R01] was issued on 13 May 2026. The result applies to that powder blend; it is not a measurement of every finished capsule batch. View the complete COA.

Are the capsules independently tested?

Our laboratory records cover submitted powder samples, including the May 2026 Symbio COA, November 2024 AEGIC analysis and April 2025 RMIT microbiology screening. Ask us about documentation for the capsule product and batch you are ordering. See the reports, sample details and testing scope.

What is the growing substrate?

We cultivate Lion’s Mane on Tasmanian oak hardwood sawdust and Australian soya husk, known as Master’s Mix. This is the material the mushrooms grow on. We harvest the fruiting bodies for processing into extract.

What research does Xotic do with RMIT?

Our published research record covers microscopy, MALDI compound profiling, microbial screening and work towards hericenone reference standards. Xotic’s fresh mushrooms were also used in a 2025 food science study of oat-based desserts. See the research details. This work does not establish clinical results for these capsules.

Are these reviews and chef posts about the capsules?

The customer reviews shown here were originally submitted for our extract powder and fresh mushrooms. Each review identifies the product purchased. The chef posts are from our homepage’s culinary community section. They introduce the people and customer experiences around Xotic, rather than capsule-specific reviews or endorsements.

How soon will I notice a difference?

There is no reliable timeline we can promise. Lion’s Mane research is still developing, and studies using other preparations do not establish the results of this finished capsule product. Individual experiences vary.

Can I take these with medicines?

Speak with a qualified healthcare professional before use if you take medicines, have a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have a known mushroom allergy. Keep the bottle out of reach of children.

How should I store the bottle?

Keep it securely closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Follow the storage directions, batch information and expiry date on your bottle.

How does the 30% extra-bottle offer work?

Add three individual bottles to your cart: one at the regular price and two at 30% off. Three 60-capsule bottles cost $141.60, saving $35.40; three 120-capsule bottles cost $237.60, saving $59.40. The discount is automatic and applies once per order. For mixed sizes, the two lowest-priced eligible bottles receive the discount. Pre-priced multipacks are excluded, and other product or order discounts cannot be combined. Our separate 2 × 120-capsule pack remains $179.

Is this a subscription?

It’s your choice. Buy any bottle once, or choose Subscribe & save on a bottle for 15% off, delivered every 1, 2, 3 or 6 months. You can pause, skip or cancel anytime. The extra-bottle offer applies to one-time orders.
